Support Worker

We are seeking dedicated and energetic Support Staff who feel passionate about supporting people with Autism or a Learning Disability, and helping them to live full and happy lives.

You will be working for a highly reputable charitable organisation which specialises in Autism, Learning Disabilities and Mental Health throughout the UK, they are excited to be recruiting for Support Workers to join teams in the Fareham and Southampton areas.

Position: Support Worker

Location: Fareham, Locks Heath, Sarisbury Green, Stubbington & Wickham

Hours: Various contracted available, waking nights and casual hours available, full and part time

Salary: £10.20 per hour - subject to an upward pay review from April 2022. Plus enhancement for sleep-ins, 1 sleep in a week would equal an extra £2,600 per annum.

For a limited time only** candidates who complete their pre-employment checks will receive a £100 signing on bonus. To qualify all pre-employment checks MUST be completed by 29/03/2022

As a Support Worker, you will support people with Autism or learning disabilities in their home or out in the community living the lives they choose.

You will have a passion for working with people where no day is the same, and the desire to support individuals to achieve their personal goals and aspirations.

Some of the people you support may have complex needs and communicate through their behaviours which will require you to be empathic, willing to learn, creative, and patient. We will give you full training to ensure you are confident to deliver excellent support

About You:

You don't need to have previous experience working in care or support to be successful in this role. What matters are your values, your passion and determination to make a difference in the lives of people with Autism or learning disabilities.

Whether you want to work a few hours a week, or full-time, if you think a Support Worker role sounds right for you, you will need to be:


• Flexible to work on a rolling rota
• Good at working on your own and within a team
• Excellent at communicating with people
• Able to complete good quality support records

To join the support team in this role, you need to have received both of your COVID-19 vaccinations and provide evidence of these, unless you are medically exempt and provide evidence of your exemption. However, the mandatory vaccines are currently being reviewed by the government and this could be subject to change.
