Procurement Specialist | Grimsby | £39k | Full Time, Permanent

Your new role
I am currently recruiting for a Procurement Specialist role in North East Lincolnshire. The main purpose of the role is to develop and drive best cost to the business supply chain, assist in achieving pre-determined KPI's and constantly review and manage the introduction and development of the Purchasing strategy You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to develop cost saving strategies and achieve pre-determined KPI's.

Key Responsibilities

Drive and deliver best cost
Development and implementation of category strategies
Work closely with current and new supply chains to drive and develop key strategic projects
Sourcing and approval of new suppliers
Development and implementation of new products
Working with current and new suppliers to develop commercial and service level agreements
Control and development of supplier relations
Work with key internal stakeholders to bring about improvements in the supply chain
Conduct supplier and category risk assessments
Drive Continuous Improvement activities
What you'll need to succeed

Experience in strategic Procurement / Purchasing
CIPS qualified, desirable
Experience within a Manufacturing / Engineering / Industrial environment
Able to demonstrate achieving year on year cost savings
Ability to undertake effective supplier audits and reviews
Excellent stakeholder management skills
Demonstrable influencing and negotiating skills
Commercial awareness
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Commitment to working as part of a team within procurement and cross functional
Good level of IT skills and experience of ERP/MRP systems and processes
Effective planning and organisational skills
Ability to drive process improvement
Ability to work under pressure to achieve pre-set KPI targets
