Head of Finance

Context is proud to be working with a rapidly expanding and genuinely cutting-edge Telecommunications provider who are looking to hire an experienced Head of Finance to join their thriving business.

This is an innovative, new generation telecommunications company specialising in IP technology - Cloud Voice services. As the Head of Finance, you will play a critical role in creating forecasting models, assessing risk and ensuring all accounting activity complies with regulations.

You will play a key role in ensuring robust processes are put in place to facilitate growth, playing a vital part in their commercial performance management through tactical, strategic decision making. This role requires a high degree of hands-on involvement to ensure their financial integrity and MI is upheld to facilitate quick and effective decision making.

Responsibilities:

Manage financial matters relating to the business including bank relationships and interface with key stakeholders.
Produce and interpret management accounts, rolling forecast.
Issue all required financial information and KPIs.
Attend board meeting and produce minutes in consultation with Senior Management.
Act as Company Secretary and ensure full end-to-end regulatory compliance.
Play a key role in the debates around the strategic direction of the company and assist in the delivery of the overall commercial strategy.
Report financial results and rolling forecast to the executive management team, together with a analysis of both past and projected performance.
Oversee the budgeting process to define spending plans, assess and report on their impact on cash flow.
Provide strong leadership and direction to the Finance team, setting clear objectives and targets.
Liaise with the Bank and Investors on an ongoing basis.
Manage and mitigate financial, operational and legal risk within the business.Required Skills and Experience:

ACA or CIMA qualified
Solid Technical Accounting and Tax experience with experience working with Private Equity / Venture Capital investors.
A strong track record of supporting sustained growth within a start-up/SME environment.
Good financial control skill with an ability to take ownership and drive decision making.
A strong operational understanding preferably within a technology focused service-based business.
Robust communication skills with an ability to build lasting partnerships with customers and colleagues at all levels.
A track record of developing and deploying KPIs leading to methodical and consistent performance.
Ability to lead a team.
Hands on and willing to roll sleeves up and get things done.
Collaborative approach, pragmatic temperament and high attention to detail.
