The Naval Children's Charity provides financial and holistic support to children and families around the UK. We work closely with other charities, have our own team of caseworkers and use an external Armed Forces group case management system, Mosaic, run by SSAFA as well as a bespoke internal database of our beneficiaries, Icaris.
The role of Data Administrator is to provide administrative support to the caseworking team, inputting data into both Mosaic and Icaris and ensuring that all records are maintained and updated in a timely fashion. Other data administrative support as required including producing data reports from internal database.
This important role is office based and is either full time or part time depending on the right candidate.
Data Administrator will receive induction training to include use of the Mosaic used by the Armed Forces Charity Sector and Icaris. The role is subject to DBS checking.
Specifics of Role
Reports to the Head of Welfare Works closely with the caseworking team Ensure confidential handling of all information concerning beneficiaries in accordance with the Naval Children's Charity's confidentiality and data protection policies To be responsible for all data input into the Charity's internal database - Icaris To be responsible for all data input into Mosaic To ensure that all data input is accurate and completed in a timely manner, adhering to monthly and quarterly deadlines To provide administrative support to the Head of Welfare and casework team as required To provide data reports from Icaris as required by the Head of Welfare and CEO. Such other relevant duties as may be assigned from time to time.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES / SKILLS
Experience of working in an office/administrative setting
Experience in using large organisational databases
Experience in collecting and input of large amounts of data
Experience of maintaining administrative, data/information and reporting systems
Experience in the use of multiple IT packages
Experience in data analysis and compiling reports
Knowledge and skills commensurate with role to include:
Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal communication skills
Well-developed IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365 and Teams. Training will be provided on our database and case management systems
Excellent attention to detail and a logical approach to work
Excellent planning and organisational skills
A team player with a positive, solution-focused approach to work
Ability to work independently demonstrating excellent time management skills
Ability to stay calm and work effectively under pressure, especially when meeting short notice deadlines

Minimum A Level/Further Education level qualifications and/or training in relevant area which may include Business, Organisational Administration, Finance
