Job description

Our client, a successful freight-forwarding company based on the outskirts of Romford, is seeking an experienced Customs Entry Clerk to join their team on a Permanent basis.

To be considered for this role you must have previous working experience within a Freight Forwarding environment, as well as experience creating declarations with clearance software such as DataFreight, Destin8 and Chief. Your duties will include but not be limited to:

Preparing and completing customs entries for import and export by road and sea
Maintaining compliance with current and evolving legislation, laws and customs procedures
Dealing with queries regarding entry such as commodity codes, duty rates, licences and documentation requirements etc.
Calculating Duty and VAT rates per consignment
Processing duty reclaims

This is a full time role - Monday-Friday, 9am to 5.30pm.
