This is an exciting time for Dentaid. As the UK's fastest growing dental charity, we are making the news as we deliver outreach dental care for people experiencing homelessness and hard-to-reach communities across the UK. We now have an exciting new role for a corporate and community fundraising officer to continue to increase our profile and drive fundraising for our many projects.
Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, this is a varied role for a passionate and creative fundraiser.
No two days will be the same and you'll be part of a friendly and dedicated team who are making a difference with dental care both in the UK and overseas.
Work with the Fundraising Manager to implement the current 5-year fundraising strategy and future planned appeals.
Grow Dentaid's income through corporate partnerships, dental practices, community events and community partnerships.
Develop new relationships, resulting from the growing awareness of Dentaid in recent national media coverage, social media activity and fresh marketing campaigns into long term income for the charity.
Attend networking or business events promoting the work of Dentaid across the locations where we work.
Maintain records of all communications and engagement on Dentaid's CRM - Salesforce.
Lead on developing corporate partnerships within the dental industry and further afield, maximising income for Dentaid.
Seek corporate partnership opportunities in the UK and overseas in the geographical areas where Dentaid run clinics.
Secure Charity of the Year opportunities and submit applications for annual corporate grant programmes.
Develop and maintain Dentaid's existing corporate partnerships, reinvigorate relationships and meet key players in the dental industry.
Attend business events and exhibitions, seeking new business opportunities that lead to financial support or donations of materials to support Dentaid's work.
Manage and grow income from Dentaid linked card machines situated with UK dental practices.
Respond to short notice requests for specific clinical items to be used on Dentaid's mobile dental units from Dentaid's UK Practice Manager.
Encourage corporate support and participation in our events and appeals.
Work alongside the Communications Director and Digital Marketing Officer to market and promote new and existing corporate partnerships including CSR and volunteering opportunities.
Research, plan and implement new community-based fundraising initiatives to re-engage local groups following Covid-19.
Working with the Charity Projects Administrator, manage Dentaid's oral health education programme for children, BrightBites (funded by Denplan), and attend presentations to schools and other child focused community groups.
Grow income in Community Fundraising by phoning and visiting regional community groups, supporting Dentaid's existing donors and securing new community partnerships.
Attend presentations and cheque presentations from community supporters, including, but not limited to local and regional Rotary and Lions groups.
Apply to community grants programmes in areas where Dentaid operates mobile dental clinics.
At least 3 years' experience in a fundraising role
A proven track record in successfully securing Charity of the Year opportunities and regular corporate support.
The ability to build relationships with corporate partners and identify new business opportunities
Experience of running successful fundraising campaigns
A flexible approach with the ability to work across many areas of fundraising, specifically corporate, community and events
The ability to use your initiative to implement Dentaid's fundraising strategy
Highly numerate and literate with confident presentation skills to a range of audiences from businesses to children
Creative, with lots of ideas and the ability to hit the ground running in a small but dynamic and fast paced charity where there is always something new happening.
Current driving license
Some travel within the UK may be required
Occasional requirement to work evening and/or weekends
Previous experience of working in a UK charity as a Corporate or Community Fundraiser
IT skills including a knowledge of Salesforce
Charted Institute of Fundraising or equivalent certification or membership
