Job Title: Business Development Assistant

Location: Winchester, Hampshire

Sigma-HSE was formed in 2012 in Winchester, UK to help deliver real-world process safety solutions in a cost-effective and timely manner.

As a global business with offices in Europe, USA and Asia our company is looking for a Business Development Assistant to assist the BD and Marketing Teams in our office in Winchester. The successful candidate will be working with the Business Development Manager (BDM) to generate business opportunities for Sigma-HSE (UK) Ltd.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Creating introductions and meeting opportunities
    • Screening telephone enquiries.
    • Chasing Quotes
    • Internet and telephone research for visits and selling opportunities.
  • Updating and maintaining the CRM / WFM / Egnyte systems for BD.
  • Setting visit appointments for our BDM.
    • Undertaking logistical support and associated admin to ensure visits are scheduled and hotel / flights / car hire is co-ordinated.
  • Assisting the BD & Marketing Teams with:
    • SEO techniques to improve our website ranking
    • LinkedIn corporate page development and maintenance
    • Producing and co-ordinating client survey information
  • Attending exhibitions and manning the stand.
  • Carrying out competitor research.
  • Other administration duties as necessary.

Skills:

  • Good IT skills including use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Familiarity with Access dbase would be useful but not essential as training will be provided on our CRM system.
  • Good telephone manner and communication skills with both external and internal clients.
  • Ability to work independently and without supervision.
  • Proactive approach to job responsibilities.

Essential Requirements:

  • Candidates already must be authorised to live and work in the UK
  • Full clean UK driving license?
  • Candidates must live or be prepared to relocate at their own expense to within commuting distance of our office in Winchester UK.
