Successful London based law firm is looking to hire a new IT Application Lead to provide an outstanding application and desktop environment to all levels of the firm. Responsibilities will include being a technically hands-on leader for the Applications team; line management of permanent and contract resources delivering BAU improvement and projects, contributing to the creation of support documentation, to enable "shift-left", proactively looks for improvement areas as part of continuous improvement, maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the firms applications and environment, providing expert advice regarding their application, investigating problems in systems, processes and services, assisting with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures, managing configuration items (CIs) and related information. Investigates and implements tools, techniques and processes for managing CIs and verifies that related information is complete, current and accurate, evaluating new system software, reviewing system software updates and identifies those that merit action, ensuring that system software is tailored to facilitate the achievement of service objectives, planning the installation and testing of new versions of system software, investigating and coordinating the resolution of potential and actual service problems, ensuring that operational documentation for system software is fit for purpose and current. Candidates with SCCM packaging and deploying experience is essential in addition to having a TIL foundation. The core hours for this role will be 9.30am - 5.30pm and it is playing a maximum of £60,000.
